Welcome to the 41st Central Kings Nighthawk Challenge! This is a sanctioned event recognized by the Province of New Brunswick and supported directly by the Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture as well as Sport and Recreation N.B.
The Nighthawk is being supported by our local RCMP, Saint John Ambulance Berg-aide, Sussex Ground Search and Rescue, and the Sussex Fish and Game Association.

This year will be extra special in that we will be honouring the late Erminie Cohen, our founding chairperson. To celebrate her legacy and caring contribution to so many causes and specifically to families, children and adoption, the luncheon will include the unveiling of an annual award sculpture (generously funded by NB Senators past and present) created in her name, the Erminie Cohen Compassion Award.

A Day in Her Shoes is bringing women together for an evening of splendor that promotes positive mental health while supporting a fundraiser for much needed mental health programs and resources in the greater Saint John area. Wednesday, May 6 at Market Square! A Day in Her Shoes is the spring/summer’s most anticipated fashion show with hors d’oeuvres from local Market Square vendors!

New Brunswickers are invited to submit nominations for the Order of New Brunswick. It is the highest honour awarded by the Province of New Brunswick. Established in 2000, it honours and celebrates the achievements of New Brunswickers who have contributed to the economic, cultural and social development of the province. Since its inception, more than 170 individuals have been invested into the order.

The 9th Annual FREE Community Christmas dinner at 3:00 pm on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25th, 2019, at the Golden Jubilee Hall Seniors’ Centre, beside the 8th Hussars Sports Center,  located at 50 Perry Street in Sussex, New Brunswick. The event is open to anyone in the community. Food Donations can be dropped off at the Jubilee Hall on Tuesday December 24th, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Volunteers are also needed to help plan and cook the food on Christmas Day.
