Why Am I Running For Council?
Over the past 10 years I have seen this city transform. Although my perspective is mostly from helping local businesses, I have witnessed great strides in Arts & Culture, Recreation, Tourism, Industrial growth and a pride this city has not seen for some time.
When I look at what i have to offer I start with my career experience. I have been working with entrepreneurs in Southern New Brunswick for the last 10 years to overcome challenges to grow their business. I understand complex financial situations that businesses face daily, not unlike the situation our city faces. I have been a participant in various recreational activities including rugby, tennis, softball, hockey and badminton. I have been a regular user of many of our facilities and have been involved in the administration and coaching of teams in various leagues. I have also been a performing musician throughout Southern NB for the past 20 years. I am well rounded, exactly what is needed at the council table.
Most important, my wife and I made the decision to raise our family in this City. We a grateful for the conveniences of living within the city so that our kids of all the opportunities to participate in numerous activities within 10 minutes of our home. Life in Saint John is extremely affordable, and I want to be the voice for families like ours to continue to have our needs met as we shape the future leaders of our city.
We have momentum and it will take a diverse group of leaders to keep that momentum going. I believe I am one of those leaders. I have the skills to review financial data to make an informed decision. I have worked in industries where legislation and regulation can impact the growth of a business. I regularly work with Federal and Provincial levels of government when it comes to Economic Development. These skills and experience coupled with my involvement in recreation and arts & culture make me a well-balanced choice to represent Ward 4.
On May 10th, I humbly ask for your vote and elect me, Chris Daigle as one of your councillors for Ward 4.
