Bell Let’s Talk – Wednesday, January 26, 2022

On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, the Saint John Police encourages the citizens of Saint John to participate in the Bell Let’s Talk campaign to raise awareness and funding for mental health initiatives.

On a daily basis, members of the Saint John Police, in partnership with mental health professionals, respond to and support people experiencing mental health related challenges.

To this end, the Saint John Police responded to approximately 1,758 mental health related calls in 2021, which was an increase of approximately 8% over 2020. Furthermore, data shows an increase of approximately 32% over five years and approximately 152% over ten years.

On Bell Let’s Talk Day, Bell will donate more towards mental health initiatives in Canada by contributing 5¢ for every applicable text, call, tweet or TikTok video using #BellLetsTalk, social media video view and use of their Facebook frame or Snapchat lens.

If you or someone you know is experiencing mental health related challenges, please call 2-1-1. In case of an emergency, please call 9-1-1.
