Who am I? “I am Zelda Howarth, Owner operator of Zelda’s Kennebecasis River Adventures and Driver of School Bus 710 here in Hampton. Why am I running? Well over the years of being a boat captain and listening to stories and concerns of the area by friends, family and acquaintances, it would come up in conversation from time to time. And after reading a post on FB about two councillor positions up for grabs all those conversions flashed back to me. That’s why I chose to put my name forward.
Hampton does a lot of wonderful things now and I believe we are going in the right direction. I want to see this hidden gem in Southern NB as the best place for people to visit and spend days here. We lack in Accommodations for overnight stays, we lack in accessible public washrooms near the river center and we need more annual events that would bring the visitors and locals alike to spend their money at our small businesses. There is the usual running of the town things to do also and I will do my best to keep up and trust the seasoned Councillors will assist me, where I lack. Tourism and Growing our Economy is my top priority.”
