A Nice Boost At Christmas From Sobey’s For A Customer and A Charity

When William Marshall, a customer at Sobeys East Point store, won the $25,000 top prize in the company’s 110^th Anniversary Giveaway promotion, the store was given an additional $5,000 by Sobeys head office to donate to a local charity or community group.

The management and staff at the East Point supermarket overwhelming chose Hestia House, the local shelter for abused women and their children.

The Sobeys 110^th Anniversary Giveaway ran throughout Atlantic Canada in September and October.  Hestia House and Mr. Marshall were presented with their cheques Monday.
