Irving Oil, UNB, Medavie Blue Cross Made National Top 100 Employers List

Irving Oil, Medavie Blue Cross and the University of New Brunswick have once again been included in the list of Canada’s Top 100 employers.

Now in its 19th year, Canada’s Top 100 Employers project is a national competition organized by Mediacorp Canada Inc. to determine which employers lead their industries in offering exceptional workplaces for their employees. Founded in 1992, Mediacorp is the nation’s largest publisher of employment periodicals.

The 7,500 applicants were rated based on a variety of factors such as their physical workplace; financial, health and family benefits; training and skills development and community involvement, among others.

This was Irving Oil’s second year on the list.

“At Irving Oil, it’s our people that make this a great place to work, grow and thrive,” says Sarah Irving, Executive Vice-President of Irving Oil. “Our employees, and the good energy that they bring to the business every day drive this company forward. Thanks to their contributions and hard work, we’re in a position to receive this honour.”

It was the third time in a row for Medavie Blue Cross.

It was the fifth time UNB made the list. Eddy Campbell, president of UNB, says their high standing makes it easier to keep recruiting more great people.
