Kick Off Spring with Atlantic National Home Show this Weekend

Back for its 39th edition, the Atlantic National Home Show returns to Harbour Station this weekend, March 18-20, 2016. Harbour Station will be filled to the rafters with the leaders of the home building and renovation industries from all over southern New Brunswick and beyond!

“We like to say the show is a sure sign of spring, and sure enough, this year the first day of spring is on the Sunday of the show!” said Brian McKiel, Show Manager. “The show will help visitors getting ready to renovate and looking for inspiration for their home and landscaping projects. And the timing is perfect, with the construction season right around the corner.”

For some great hints and tips, visitors will want to check out the seminars taking place on the Home Show stage. Sessions including Kitchens with the “Wow Factor”, Live Cooking Demos, Learn About Radon Gases & What Can Be Done, and Spray Foam Insulation will be taking place at various times throughout the weekend; the FULL SCHEDULE can be found on the show website.

Exhibitors will be offering exclusive show specials and promotions and will have the latest and greatest products for the home on display. Visitors will have a chance to enter to win great prizes, claim instant rebates on products and services, get complimentary consultations, and take advantage of limited time offers. Additionally, many all-new family-friendly features will be offered, along with some returning favourites!

• Bring the kids and visit the Scouts Canada booth. Youth accompanied by an adult will have the opportunity to make a craft and play an exciting game that they navigate through the entire home show. Participants will receive a ballot for a prize!
• Visit the Tir na nÓg Forest School booth to learn about hands-on experiential learning, and how being outdoors not only provides children with fresh air, but also encourages imaginative play, creativity, hand-eye coordination, balance, physical strength and mental clarity.
• The Saint John Fire Department will be on-site all three days with their Fire Safety House, demonstrating children’s fire safety. School-aged children accompanied by an adult will be invited to take part in an interactive demonstration which includes simulated (non-toxic) smoke, and encourages them to develop their own fire escape plan at home.
• Take advantage of great value with the show’s Family Pass, which includes admission for two adults and two juniors (10-16 years of age) for just $20! Children under the age of 10 get in for free when accompanied by an adult.

Once again, the Saint John Y Service Club (formerly Y’s Men’s Club) is holding its popular Home Show Lottery. Friday March 18th – 12 noon – 9 pm
Saturday March 19th – 10 am – 6 pm
Sunday March 20th – 10 am – 4 pm

Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for juniors (10-16) and seniors (65+) and children under 10 are free when accompanied by an adult. A Family Pass (good for two adults and two juniors) is also available for just $20. Again this year, a Senior Special will be offered from 12 noon to 5 pm on Friday only, with admission just $4.
