From Friday, December 7th, to Sunday, December 9th, 2018, Come out to Harbour Station, located at 99 Station Street in Saint ,John, New Brunswick for the Maritime Speed Skating – Charles Gorman Memorial Memorial Speed Skating Championships. There will be no charge for admission, and events kick off at 8:00 am daily! This will be a SSNB (Speed Skate New Brunswick) and SSC (Speed Skating Canada) sanctioned meet. Stitches In Time: A Quilt Show

Stitches in Time, a fall quilt show by the Elm City Quilters’ Guild, is at Gibson Memorial Church, 183 Gibson Street, Fredericton, New Brunswick. The show is taking place Friday, October 19 from 10 am – 8 pm and Saturday, October 20 from 10 am – 4 pm. Projects on display include quilts, bags, wall hangings, small pieces of furniture with quilted tops, ironing board covers, etc. There will be a well-stocked tea room. Minister LeBlanc announces increased bag limit for 2018 Striped bass recreational fishery in the Gulf Region. The Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, announced today management measures for the Striped bass recreational fishery in 2018 throughout the Southern Gulf of St. Lawrence. This area includes the Maritime Provinces adjacent to the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
