Traffic Advisory: Union Street
Union Street will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Wentworth Street and Sydney Street starting Tuesday, September 15 for two (2) days from 8 a.m. until midnight for water main repairs.

Work on the lighting began yesterday, September 10 and is expected to be completed by September 17. A contractor will be on site to run wiring and install new lighting fixtures.

The City of Saint John is pleased to announce that Harbour Passage will be receiving a much needed refresh. The project includes an asphalt overlay and reapplication of the iconic cranberry coating. It is anticipated that upon completion of this work the Passage will be restored to its original beauty that residents and visitors have come to appreciate. The overall construction schedule is expected to begin today Tuesday, September 8th with an estimated completion date of Friday, October 16th.

As a new school year approaches, residents are reminded to exercise caution in school zones. School zones on Loch Lomond Road in front of Bayview School and on Union Street in front of Prince Charles School each have a reduced speed limit of 40 KM/H, 7:30 AM until 4:00 PM on school days. All other school zones in the City have speed limits of 50 KM/H, 7:30 AM until 4:00 PM on school days.
