Notice of Public Information Session 2024‑04: The Cove Harbour Passage Extension
The City of Saint John is moving forward with the design and construction of the Harbour Passage extension, scheduled for the 2026 construction season. This project will add a new asphalt multi‑use trail and supporting infrastructure, including lighting and landscaping, between Riverview Avenue and Riverview Drive.
By extending Harbour Passage, the City is expanding safe, accessible, and sustainable travel options, enhancing quality of life, and supporting long‑term growth. These outcomes directly align with Common Council’s GROW, GREEN, BELONG, and MOVE priorities, which can be viewed HERE.
Construction is anticipated to begin in Spring 2026 and be completed by the end of the year. No disruptions to the public are expected.
Interested residents and business owners are encouraged to attend one of the two drop‑in information sessions to learn more and speak directly with City representatives:
