Saint John Water Hosting Public Information Session For Upcoming McAllister Drive Watermain Renewal Project
The City of Saint John is preparing to begin Phase 1 of a critical watermain renewal project along McAllister Drive, from Mountain View Drive to Loch Lomond Road. This important infrastructure upgrade will help ensure the continued reliability of water service in the area by replacing aging infrastructure nearing the end of its service life.
Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-to-late August and is expected to be completed in October. Throughout the duration of the project, two-way traffic will be maintained with the assistance of on-site traffic control personnel. Additionally, a planned water service interruption will affect residents in the Forest Hills and Golden Grove Road areas. Advance notice will be provided to all affected households to help them prepare for the disruption. The project is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving essential infrastructure and is funded through the Water & Sewerage Utility Fund.
Public Information Session:
Residents and business owners are encouraged to attend an upcoming drop-in information session to learn more about the project. City staff will be available to answer questions and provide details on construction timelines, traffic management, and communication plans.
