Hey there, fellow parents! March Break is here, and if you’re looking for fun ways to keep the kids entertained (without hearing “I’m bored” on repeat), Uptown Saint John has you covered. Whether you’re up for an adventure, want to cozy up indoors, or just need a few easy outings, there’s plenty to do for all ages.
Activities for Kids!
Need to keep busy hands and curious minds engaged? Uptown has tons of creative activities where kids can learn something new and have a blast doing it:
- Check out the library’s March Break activities, from storytime to interactive fun (plus, did you know you can borrow board games and even ice skates there?).
- Try a beginner-friendly sewing class—perfect for kids who love hands-on projects.
Get Moving! Outdoor & Active Fun
If the kids need to burn off some energy (or you just need to get out of the house for a bit), Uptown has lots of ways to stay active:
- Go skating at the outdoor rink—there’s something magical about gliding under the open sky. Don’t have skates? The library has some you can borrow!
- Hit the pool at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre—perfect for splashing, sliding, and getting all that energy out.

Worried about parking? Skip the street parking and choose covered parking instead! Market Square, Brunswick Square, and Peel Plaza all offer indoor/covered parking garages, keeping you out of the elements (which means less scraping and brushing off the car—huge win).
Make It a Staycation
