COVID-19 BUSINESS REALITY
As a provider of essential products and services, Source Atlantic, a wholesale
industrial supplier and technical services distributor with 24 locations across
Canada knew it had to continue its operations during the Pandemic in a
way that ensured the safety and security of its employees and customers

The company took immediate steps to ensure the safety of its workers
public facing employees were provided with appropriate PPE gear
and all other employees were set up to work remotely.
Source Atlantic installed cameras in its offices to measure thermal
temperatures for anyone entering the building and all sales reps began
connecting with customers online. To support its customers, it a
developed a Return to Work website with best practice resources and
products for companies and has sourced new health and safety products
LESSONS LEARNED
Maintain strong relationships with all suppliers as they are partners in
serving customers. Source Atlantic has a good relationship with its
suppliers, and this enabled the company to source the volume and
variety of products they needed to meet the demand.
Taking immediate steps to ensure the health and safety of employees
pays off, allowing companies to continue operating and serving
customers.
With the right use of technology, effective communications, and by
listening to customer needs, companies can continue to strengthen
relationships and grow their business even without face-to-face contact.
