Statement from Uptown Saint John Inc. – your local Business Improvement Association. Supporting our local businesses always.
Uptown Saint John Inc. your local Business Improvement Association (BIA) is currently making our best effort to provide additional social media coverage from our local businesses as they continue to make adjustments in response to #COVID-19. We ask that you check before you head out to businesses for their hours and offerings.
Please continue to support our small shops and restaurants as much as you can. We have noticed many restaurants jumping to services like Skip the Dishes and offering door to door delivery as well as take out. There are many shops who are asking for support through online and gift card purchasing, this is a very difficult time especially for our small businesses, support in the best way you can.
The BIA will not be conducting any further marketing and/or event type initiatives at this time. The Annual General Meeting to be held at the end of April will be reassessed closer to the date. Currently, the venue is closed. We are collaborating with other BIA’s across Canada through webinars and email discussions on future additional support. #strongertogether
The USJI board of directors and staff are monitoring #COVID-19 and are following our direction from the Chief Public Health officer.
