Early last night Nov.8th Saint John Firefighters were dispatched to a call for a dog that had fallen over a cliff in the community of Lorneville.

Our Technical Rescue Team was assembled and responded to the scene. Upon arrival, the crews assessed the challenging terrain and quickly set up a rope rescue system to safely access the distressed animal.

A firefighter, secured with a specialized harness and lines, was carefully lowered to the dog’s location. The dog, frightened but uninjured, was secured and safely lifted back to solid ground. The successful rescue showcased the skill, teamwork, and professionalism of the Saint John Fire Department’s Technical Rescue Team.
