Traffic Advisory: Union Street

The City of Saint John would like to advise the public of the following traffic interruption that will occur on Tuesday, September 23 on Union Street.  This closure is necessary to ensure the safe and successful completion of crane lifting operations.

Street: Union Street

Specific area: Between Chipman Hill and Germain Street

Date: September 23, 2025

Duration: One (1) day

Time: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Direction: In both directions

Action: Closed to through traffic. A detour route will be indicated.

Description of work: Crane lift operations

Traffic control personnel will be on site. Road signage and sidewalk directional signage will be in place. Motorists are asked to drive with caution and be aware of pedestrians and workers.
