The City of Saint John has named Ian MacKinnon to the position of Director of Transit and Fleet Services. Mr. MacKinnon began his new role earlier this month.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have an extraordinary team of dedicated professionals serving the City and we are pleased to welcome Mr. MacKinnon to the team,\u201d says CAO Brent McGovern. \u201cHis extensive experience managing operations and strong dedication to the public service will serve the City and our residents well as we continue to advance the delivery of innovative fleet and transit services.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr. MacKinnon\u2019s new role comes after a successful tenure as the CEO of the Saint John Transit and Parking Commissions, a position he was appointed to in 2016 and held until 2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith transformational changes taking place to the transit system in Saint John, aimed at better serving current riders and attracting new ones, I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to help lead these improved services for the community,\u201d says MacKinnon.<\/p>\n

Mr. MacKinnon brings years of experience in executive leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, having held the positions of Vice President of Operations at Toronto-based Carbon60, Director of Information Technology for the Canadian Automobile Association Limited (CAA) and Director of Information Technology for the City of Saint John.<\/p>\n

Mr. Ian Fogan previously held the director position for the City\u2019s Transit and Fleet Services. During this time, he successfully led the initial implementation of the Transforming Transit project.
