As the first National Day\u00a0for\u00a0Truth and\u00a0Reconciliation approaches,\u00a0the City of Saint John has\u00a0begun\u00a0an educational campaign for employees\u00a0called\u00a0Truth and Reconciliation Moments<\/em>.\u00a0The\u00a0campaign includes daily communication\u00a0to all employees leading up to\u00a0September 30\u00a0to\u00a0provide\u00a0reflections, information and resources\u00a0about the history of Indigenous peoples, residential schools,\u00a0and the need for\u00a0Truth and Reconciliation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe City of Saint John\u00a0wants to ensure\u00a0our employees\u00a0are provided with resources that will enable them to become\u00a0active participants in Truth and Reconciliation,\u201d\u00a0said Mayor Donna Reardon. \u201cThis is a reflection of the City\u2019s commitment to recognize,\u00a0learn and\u00a0respond to this important journey\u00a0as a path to\u00a0understanding\u00a0our\u00a0country\u2019s\u00a0past as we move together into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n
