Clergy Appointments for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint John 2020<\/strong><\/h2>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The\u00a0Most Reverend Christian Riesbeck, CC, Bishop of Saint John<\/strong>, announces the following clergy assignments effective\u00a0August 1, 2020<\/strong>\u00a0unless otherwise noted.<\/p>\n

Those priests\u00a0<\/strong>who have been\u00a0appointed Pastors<\/strong>\u00a0will be dispensed from the requirement of\u00a0Canon 527\u00a0<\/strong>that they be placed into canonical possession of their parishes and will automatically become Pastor on\u00a0August 1, 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At a later date,\u00a0Bishop Riesbeck<\/strong>\u00a0will come to each parish to celebrate a\u00a0Mass of Installation<\/strong>\u00a0for the\u00a0new pastors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Rev. Martin Arputham, HGN<\/strong>, is appointed Pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish (Woodstock, Canterbury, and Nackawic).<\/p>\n

Rev. Daniel Bastarache<\/strong>\u00a0is appointed Pastor of Good Shepherd Parish (Blackville, Boiestown, Doaktown, Howard, and Renous).<\/p>\n

Rev. John Beaumaster<\/strong>\u00a0is on a leave of absence for health reasons.<\/p>\n

Rev. William Brennan<\/strong>\u00a0is appointed Pastor of St. Mary Magdalene Parish (Fredericton South, New Maryland, and Fredericton Junction).<\/p>\n

Rev. Aloo Peter Chimaobi, SMMM<\/strong>, is appointed Associate Pastor of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish (Miramichi West, Burnt Church First Nation, Bartibog Bridge, and Eel Ground First Nation).<\/p>\n

Rev. Maria Arokiam Chinnappan<\/strong>, HGN, is appointed Pastor of Our Lady of Peace Parish (Fredericton North, and Stanley).<\/p>\n

Rev. Godwin Kalu<\/strong>, SMMM, is appointed Pastor of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish (Miramichi West, Burnt Church First Nation, Bartibog Bridge, and Eel Ground First Nation).<\/p>\n

Rev. Peter Osborne<\/strong>\u00a0is appointed Associate Pastor of St. Mary Magdalene Parish (Fredericton South, New Maryland, and Fredericton Junction).<\/p>\n

Rev. Antonio Reyes<\/strong>\u00a0is appointed Associate Pastor of St. Mark\u2019s Parish (Quispamsis). He will work with Rev. Owen Burns, Pastor and Episcopal Vicar for Evangelization and Parish Renewal.<\/p>\n

Rev. Rodrigo Tabilona<\/strong>\u00a0will be returning to his home Archdiocese of Jaro, the Philippines. We would like to thank Father Tabilona for his service to our diocese.<\/p>\n

Mr. David Rioux<\/strong>\u00a0is appointed to a seminarian internship year in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish (Saint John East, and St. Martin\u2019s).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
