Saint John Energy and Uptown Saint John Inc. a partnership to create Uptown Holiday Lighting<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cCity sidewalks, busy sidewalks\u2026. dressed in holiday style in the air there\u2019s a feeling of Christmas\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Uptown is certainly dressed in holiday style and one might say the magic happens overnight.\u00a0 Actually, it does. The beautiful, sparkling holiday lighting is due to the very appreciated efforts of Saint John Energy.\u00a0 \u201cThe blue and white snowflakes are a joint project with some investment coming from both organizations,\u201d says Nancy Tissington, Executive Director of Uptown Saint John Inc.<\/span><\/p>\n

SJ Energy provides all of the installation for the uptown seasonal lighting and have been housing and managing the holiday lights infrastructure for the past number of years. \u201cThe excitement is in the air and we are thrilled to provide this to the community every year,\u201d says<\/span> Jessica DeLong, SJ Energy \u2013\u00a0<\/span>Manager, Stakeholder Relations.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, USJI has started investing in Phase I of a new \u2018tree wrapping\u2019 initiative.\u00a0 These brilliantly lit trees will remain shining throughout the year. The future phases will see expansion to other trees on King Street and Prince William Street.\u00a0 Also, new this year \u2013 a glowing family of carollers installed on the 2<\/span>nd<\/span> level of the historic bandstand in King\u2019s Square.\u00a0 It truly is the most magical time of the year in Uptown Saint John, with all of the sparkling lights lending a memorable ambiance to this most festive and joyous season.<\/span><\/p>\n
