Maritime NHLers for Kids Announce “Marchy’s Maritime Kids” Program\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

On Monday, January 28th, 2019, Maritime NHL\u2019ers for Kids and Stanley Cup winner Brad Marchand introduced a NEW program as part of the Event\u2019s 20th Anniversary celebrations.<\/p>\n

The program will help young boys and girls in the Maritimes get on the ice.<\/p>\n

\u201cMarchy\u2019s Maritime Kids\u201d will see Brad donate $100 for every goal he scores this season.<\/p>\n

The donation will be made directly to Jumpstart, the official charity of Maritime NHL\u2019ers for Kids.<\/p>\n

The program also includes \u201cMatch Marchy\u201d, an invitation from Brad for the Event\u2019s supporters to also contribute to the fund, thereby helping even more kids get on the ice.<\/p>\n

Event co-founder, Dallas Stars record-setting coach Rick Bowness said, \u201cWe are delighted Brad is bringing Marchy\u2019s Maritime Kids to life. As we all know, he\u2019s a proud Maritimer who fully understands the financial challenges families face with the increasing costs of playing minor
\nhockey. We thank Brad for his unselfishness and his commitment to helping kids get on the ice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marchand, a Nova Scotian from Hammonds Plains said, \u201cHelping kids play minor hockey is important to me.<\/p>\n

\nAbout Maritime NHL\u2019ers For Kids<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u2219 Founded in 2000, Maritime NHL\u2019ers for Kids is a celebrity fundraising golf event with a goal to help ease the social and financial burdens preventing young boys and girls from pursuing their hockey dreams in NS-NB-PEI.<\/p>\n

More than 5,000 kids have directly benefited financially through a
\npartnership with Jumpstart.<\/p>\n

Adding to the financial assistance is an equipment partnership with
\nthe NHLPA\u2019s Goals & Dreams Program.<\/p>\n

In the Event\u2019s first 19 years, over 600 hockey and sport celebrities havepersonally supported this cause.<\/p>\n
