The Friends of Ten Thousand Village Saint John Sale is back for another exciting year at the Saint Mark’s United Church, located at 50 Dexter Drive, Saint John West, New Brunswick from Friday, November 16th, 2018 to Saturday, November 17th, 2018!<\/p>\n
The sale is full of beautifully fair – traded gifts benefiting artisans from more than thirty developing countries.<\/p>\n
As well, it offers an opportunity for citizens of Saint John, New Brunswick to make a difference by shopping fair trade!<\/p>\n
Shoppers will also learn more about skilled artisans in Africa, Asia and Latin America!<\/p>\n
In its 17th year the sale will showcase a beautiful assortment of musical instruments, pottery, jewelry, baskets, toys, cr\u00e8ches and hand loomed textiles.<\/p>\n
Another beautiful item that you will find at the sale – A colorful recycled glass hand-blown by artisans of Hebron Glass & Ceramic Factory!<\/p>\n
In Phoenician glass blowing, makers add substances to the molten glass to create a range of colors and patterns.<\/p>\n
The process takes an especially skilled hand and is reserved for the true masters of the art.<\/p>\n
Each piece is unique. Hebron Glass operates three main workshops in Hebron, in addition to artisans who work in their own homes.<\/p>\n
Some 60 artisans, women and men, work with Hebron Glass, earning excellent income and benefiting from safe working environments.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
