Saint John Fire Department Conducting Ice Rescue Training
The Saint John Fire Department is advising employees and members of the public that ice rescue training will take place at the Rockwood Park Driving Range between January 26 and February 12.
During this training period, open water will be created and maintained at the site as part of the rescue exercises. For everyone’s safety, the public is strongly advised to avoid the area and use caution by staying well back from any openings in the ice.
The training location will be clearly marked with barrier tape and/or rope to identify the hazard zone and ensure a safe perimeter.
We appreciate the public’s cooperation as our firefighters carry out this important training to maintain a high level of emergency response readiness.
Thank you for your cooperation
