Saint John Celebrates Canada Day 2025 On The Waterfront
The City of Saint John is proud to host a spectacular Canada Day celebration on July 1, bringing residents and visitors together for an unforgettable day of festivities. With a lineup of free, family-friendly events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
In partnership with AREA 506, the City will present the fourth annual Canada Day Waterfront Festival, a vibrant showcase of culture, entertainment, and community spirit. The festival will run from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Ihtoli-Maqahamok – The Gathering Space and the Container Village at 85 Water Street, with doors to the container village opening at 11:00 a.m. Both locations, just a short walk apart, will feature a full lineup of activities and entertainment, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees who want to enjoy everything the festival has to offer.
Festivalgoers can look forward to an exciting program featuring ethnocultural performances, live music, circus school, magic shows, interactive games, and prizes. Families and children can capture special moments with their favourite princesses and superheroes, making for a truly magical day.
At 1:00 p.m., everyone is invited to gather at the boardwalk stage in Ihtoli-Maqahamok for official remarks and the ceremonial cake cutting. As night falls, the celebrations will conclude with a fireworks display at Long Wharf, lighting up the sky at 10:00 p.m., weather permitting.
