Apply for Residential Zone Parking Permit for May 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024

Residents can apply and purchase their annual residential parking permits directly through the HotSpot website or app directly or at City Hall Customer Service Centre (during regular business hours) as of today, April 12, 2023 for the 2023-2024 season.

In an effort to make purchasing residential parking permits as simple and convenient as possible, the City of Saint John has once again partnered with HotSpot for the upcoming year. Residents are able to manage and purchase their annual residential parking permits directly through the Hotspot website or app.

Residents need to reapply each year for a permit and resubmit digital copies of proof of residency to complete the application. Please note that residential permits will not be renewed if there are outstanding parking tickets.

Residents are not required to have a hanging tag in their vehicle, as the digital permit system through HotSpot, allows the residential parking program to be enforced through a scan by licence plate system.

Visit the City’s website to learn more about the residential parking permits and get answers to frequently asked questions.
