Announcement – Deputy Chief of Police

The Saint John Police are proud to announce the appointment of Retired RCMP Superintendent Honey Dwyer as the new Deputy Chief.

A Canada-wide search was conducted after Deputy Chief Tony Hayes’ retirement on April 2, 2022.

“Saint John Police were looking for a progressive, community-oriented leader whose values, vision and professional experience aligned with our Vision/Mission/Leadership principles and strategic plan.  We found that in Deputy Chief Dwyer.  We are very excited about having her joining our team.  I believe she will both enhance and enrich our department and our service delivery model.” -Chief Robert Bruce

Deputy Chief Dwyer will assume her duties on July 18, 2022.
