SAINT JOHN – Six New Brunswick Organizations have been named to the list of Atlantic Canada’s top employers for 2018.

CAA Atlantic Ltd. (Saint John), Irving Oil (Saint John), Medavie Blue Cross (Moncton), NBCC (Fredericton), University of New Brunswick (Fredericton) and Opportunities New Brunswick made the list this year.

The list is created by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers who compare organizations in a particular field to determine which offers the most progressive programs in categories such as physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits, vacation and time off and more.

“We are honoured to be one of Atlantic Canada’s top employers, especially after winning Canada’s Top 100 Employers the last three years,” said, Greg Bambury, Vice President, Talent and Communications, Medavie Blue Cross. “While we continue to grow our national presence, our roots are in Atlantic Canada and that gives special meaning to this recognition.”

Francine Landry, Economic Development Minister and minister responsible for ONB, said a strong workplace culture motivates people to do great work.

“Opportunities NB has demonstrated that a great workplace culture can motivate employees to do excellent work and achieve results that benefit our entire province,” said Landry. “I am pleased with their results and the importance the organization places on ensuring employee satisfaction and engagement
