Traffic Advisory: Hickey Road

sjcityBeginning this Thursday, July 7th, 2016 and lasting through to the end of August, Saint John motorists are advised of the following traffic interruption:

Street: Hickey Road, from Heather Way to Loch Lomond Road

Date: The road closure will begin on Thursday, July 7 and is expected to remain in effect until late August.

Duration: Full road closure: days, nights, and weekends inclusive

Direction: Hickey Road will be closed to through traffic, with the exception of local and emergency vehicle access to homes and businesses.

A detour will be established, routing traffic travelling east-bound Champlain Drive on to Grandview Avenue and Heather Way.

Traffic travelling westbound will be detoured along Heather Way, Grandview Avenue and Champlain Drive.

Description of Work: Port City Water Partners will be installing new water transmission mains for the City of Saint John’s Safe Clean Drinking Water Project.

The safety of the public and our construction crews is a priority. Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly, reduce speeds in construction zones, observe signage, and drive safely.

Work commencement and completion times are subject to change.
