Sculpture Saint John is now accepting applications for Interns to participate in the 2016 Symposium.

Applications for internships will be evaluated in accordance with the following criteria:

  • be a resident of New Brunswick who is of the age of majority (19 years) in New Brunswick;
  • have previous experience and/or training in the visual arts;
  • have working knowledge of power tools and related equipment;
  • show a commitment to learning the skills of stone carving.

From 150 international applicants a jury selected eight accomplished artists to participate in the third New Brunswick International Sculpture Symposium in Saint John. This year’s artists are:

  • Fetiye Boudevin – France
  • James Boyd – Canada
  • Julie Glaspy – Canada
  • Catherine Leva – France
  • Janine Kortz-Waintrop – France
  • Min Kyoung Uk – South Korea
  • Alessio Ranaldi – Italy
  • Jesse Salisbury – USA

While shaping massive chunks of stunning local granite into works of art; these creative and talented individuals will share their knowledge with each other, the six young interns who will work with them and the general public.
