Script Happens: Call for Directors, Actors & Crew!

The Saint John Theatre Company‘s annual playwright contest – Script Happens – is in full swing. Scripts have been selected and crafted by their professional dramaturge, Ryan Griffith. Now it’s time for the next step in the page to stage transformation!

They need three directors and two to three stage managers for this year’s Script Happens showcase, which will run at the BMO Studio Theatre from January 20th through the 23rd, 2016.

This year’s final selections are:

Orchids by Gretchen Kelbaugh (25 minutes)
An intimate historical look at one woman’s decision to join the Suffragettes’ struggle for women’s rights.

Knock by Jeff Lloyd (25 minutes)
The journey of twin sisters over time as both cope with the same family issues in their own unique ways.

Elsewhere by Keith Hazzard (50 minutes)
An intricate introspective web of power, emotions and guilt as two men meet looking for answers from the other, but find out mostly about themselves.
