Watermain Hydrant Flushing Begins In Saint John On Monday

The City of Saint John is starting its annual watermain flushing program beginning on July 21 in East Saint John.

Over the next several weeks flushing will be performed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. This may affect water customers in areas or subdivisions east of the Reversing Falls bridge.

Customers may experience cloudy water when running taps during the time the pipes on their street are being flushed. Though customers may encounter a drop in water pressure, at no time should they be without water. The water is safe to consume.

As the watermain flushing program continues throughout the summer, the City will update residents on locations and schedule.
